PPT Slide

• PNG – (Portable Network Graphic) Lossless raster format with good compression, supported by most recent web browsers. Intended as a replacement for GIF, because of licensing issues. Good compression, multiple color models. Supports interlacing and transparency.

• JPEG – Format used primarily for photographs. Excellent compression (but lossy) for photographs. Standard format supported by Web Browsers. Supports interlacing.

• DjVu, LivePix, PhotoCD – Newer image formats. Require plugins in order to be viewed on web pages.
