Executive Management Team

Mark Gross, President & CEO — founder of Data Conversion Laboratory, is a recognized authority on XML implementation and document conversion. President and CEO of DCL, Mark also serves as Project Executive, with overall responsibility for resource management and planning.

Prior to founding DCL in 1981, Mark was with the consulting practice of Arthur Young & Co. Mark has a BS in Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from New York University. He has also taught at the New York University Graduate School of Business, the New School, and Pace University. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of automated conversions to XML and SGML.


Judy Gross, Chief Financial Officer — co-founded Data Conversion Laboratory in the fall of 1981. As the CFO, Judy oversees all financial and HR activities that take place at DCL. Prior to founding DCL, Judy worked at SAMI, which was a market research subsidiary of Time, Inc., and IDC, a financial data supplier, where she gained experience in the development of large marketing and financial databases. During this time, Judy's responsibilities included training clients to ensure that they were utilizing the data in their databases effectively and efficiently.

Judy holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from Syracuse University and an MBA in Quantitative Analysis from New York University.


Mike Gross, Chief Technology Officer & Director of Research — responsible for solution engineering. Mike has been solving digital publishing conversion problems at DCL for over twenty-five years, where he has overseen thousands of legacy conversion projects. Mike is also the chief architect of DCL's document conversion tool set, including its proprietary hub and spoke technology.

Prior to joining DCL in 1986, Mike managed the development of a U.S. Air Force Software Development Tool Set for Advanced Computer Techniques Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the Case Institute of Technology at Case Western Reserve University. Mike is a frequent contributor to DCLnews, DCL's monthly e-journal newsletter, where he writes about the technical issues that arise in the world of digital publishing conversion and structured markup.


Amy Williams, Chief Operating Officer — responsible for supervising DCL's day-to-day business; including scheduling and managing all conversion projects, as well as monitoring DCL's financial performance, customer relations, and personnel management. Amy's area of expertise is in analyzing existing operations and developing the strategies, processes, and technologies to improve organizational performance.

Amy joined DCL in 1998, bringing with her more than 10 years of project management experience consulting for leading organizations worldwide. She also brings with her a combination of strategic business planning skills, as well as solid systems development qualifications that allow her to define and implement solutions to meet the challenging business demands of DCL's customers. Amy obtained a BS in Computer Science from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Maryland.


Linda Morone, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing — responsible for overseeing all of DCL's sales and marketing activities. Linda focuses her attention on helping clients organize & convert their content to electronic documents, populate databases, and publish on the web, while establishing and developing strategic partnerships across industries.

Linda joined the DCL team in the spring of 2011, bringing with her 25 years of experience in managing the sales efforts of digital media, web-based solutions, technology, and data content management services.
