The Content Reuse Assessment (CRA) is a quick and inexpensive review of your document collection that identifies redundant and reusable content or data. Our testing has found most document collections contain more than 50% redundancy, meaning you are maintaining twice as much content as you need to, at twice the cost. It also means that you are likely updating the same content multiple times, risking excessive errors, and you've been recreating content that you've already worked hard to create. This assessment lets you quickly discover where you stand.
Assessment Highlights
The CRA allows you to analyze a significant cross-section of your document collection and view objective reuse statistics, as well as specific identification of duplicate and "near duplicate" content
For an initial assessment, we suggest analyzing 5,000 to 10,000 pages
We suggest limiting assessments to 2 or 3 formats, preferably Word, FrameMaker, SGML, XML, or Interleaf. Many other formats are supported, but may increase cost
You will receive a summary report with reuse potential metrics for your document set
You will receive a detailed analysis report displaying location and context of exact and close matches for content
The cost of this assessment is $3,000 to $5,000 and normally takes 3 or 4 days. Exact quote is provided upon receipt of samples
Upon your acceptance of a quote, we provide a secure FTP connection for uploads of your documents, alternatively you can send us a CD or DVD containing the content
You select the documents from your collection that you would like included in the test
We process your documents and prepare a full set of reports for you to download via our website
